We were established in 1996 and were the first organisation to bring materials to assess emotional intelligence to Europe. Our founders rapidly developed effective programmes for the development of emotional literacy using the first generation emotional intelligence measures and actively promoted its development within the educational world. This tradition of action based research still continues within our organisation.

For example, research forms an integral part of our Certificate programme. Also all of our inservice workshops are based on the most current information from a wide range of scientific research fields and this ensures that participants receive the most up to date information about the practical applications of emotional literacy. Our work has involved implementing emotional literacy programmes and embedding this approach in nurseries, primary schools, secondary schools and in Further Education colleges.  

We have been an external consultant for most of the significant emotional literacy initiatives in England and Scotland, and continue to try and create the best chance for every child through them receiving a sound emotional education.
